That's not unlimited. You have roughly 19k ammo. It just doesnt display above 9999. When you use up enough ammo, you'll see the decremented amount appear.

hey what was the cheat for unlimited bullets
it does not affect the weapons that you use in the shooting range! it's - 9mm pistol, machine-pistol, shotgun and ak47, try sawn-off or combat shotgun - this works
I can tell you secrets.
First- Drive-by with any weapon.
1- write cheat - OUIQDMW.
2- choose weapon (don't works with rocket lanucher, Heat siking R.L, Firethrowher, camera and spray can).
3- get in the car.
4- write cheat YECGAA (JetPack).
5- driwe too slow and quickly click on F.
Now you can do drive-by with any weapon.
Second - Uncrashing car.
1- write the code JCNRUAD (Smash 'n' Boom).
2- get in the car.
3- write again JCNRUAD to deactivate the code.
4- drive and check it. Hit the car!!!
It's will unlimited if you will finish game for 100 percent.
I have 2nd method to get infinite ammo. You need finish the game 100%, and you don't need go to ammu-nation.
hey if you have unlimited MP5 why not try unlimited M4, the trick was same, but on another place, i forgot which one, El quebrados or bluberry
yes there is a cheat Down,X,Right,Left,Right,R1,Right,Down,Up,Triangle.

Is there a way to get rid of the infinite ammo?
I've tried dieing but the guns wont go away
You can just keep buying the ammo until it says you can't.But..I think this is a faster way.
