E3 Is Being Built, Right Now. Here's What It Looks Like.

Gaming's biggest show doesn't kick off until next week, but expert teams of booth fairies and constructobots are already hard at work building E3's cavernous displays.

If only the real show was this spacious. Or quiet.

Finally, Some Hardware Gameplay Footage. And It Looks Great.

Hardware: Shipbreakers, a strategy game being made by some of the guys behind the Homeworld series, has looked very gorgeous for a very long time. Problem is, in all that time, we'd never actually seen any gameplay footage.

Time to fix that, with this surprisingly candid and lengthy footage of the game in action.

You don't need me to tell you that some of the art and effects here will move Homeworld fans to tears.

Final Fantasy Tactics S Looks Nifty, But Looks Can Be Deceiving

The design. The music. The turn-based RPG action. This trailer tells us that Tactics S has got everything its big (ie. non-mobile) brothers do, and social features. Then again, we know how All the Bravest turned out. Best be careful. Tactics S is out now for iOS/Android in Japan, with no word of a western release.

That Advanced AI In Call of Duty: Ghosts Sure Looks Dated

Peculiarly, one of the things that was highlighted during the Call of Duty: Ghosts presentation last week was fish AI that moves out of the way when you get close. And as SUPERMARIOGALAXY13 highlights here, fish doing that is not exactly a new innovation—or hell, even an exciting one. It's nearly 20 years old!

I'm pretty sure Super Mario 64 isn't the only game to have done this in the past either, although I'm blanking on more at current. What I do know is that unlike these fish, at least Call of Duty Dog is rad.

Van Helsing Does Diablo. At Least, That's What This Game Looks Like.

NeocoreGames' The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing was recently released on Steam to little fanfare. It looks fairly impressive for a $ 15 RPG, even though I get Diablo vibes so strong I can practically hear the menu music. They made a hell of a launch trailer, at least.

That Game Where You Play As A Momma Badger Looks Gorgeous

I can't say I've ever wanted to play as a badger, but the more I see of Shelter—the game where you play as a mother badger protecting her litter—the more I want to.

Here's some early footage, which shows gameplay elements like food hunting, as well as showcase some of the dangers players can expect while playing. But, more importantly, we get a closer look at the beauty of the game. It's difficult not to look at everything in Shelter with a sense of wonder when it features visuals like that.

Shelter releases on PC and Mac sometime in 2013.

Yes, Hardware, Your Art Still Looks Lovely

Here's another trailer for the upcoming Hardware: Shipbreakers, a strategy title being worked on by some ex-Homeworld devs. It looks great, but then, so has everything else the team has released so far.

Some gameplay footage would look a lot better.
